Virginia Tech’s Flex MBA program is designed for working professionals who want to pursue a degree at a pace and in a format that works for them. We offer in-person and virtual classes, and a focused program of study that allows busy professionals to earn their degree in just 24 months.
Each semester, decide per class: attend in-person evenings when you want the on-campus experience, or go online asynchronous when life gets busy. It’s the same degree—your schedule.

Students can learn virtually or in-person at our new, state-of-the-art building in Alexandria, Virginia. Students can choose a schedule that features virtual classes, only in-person classes, or a mix of both. The ability to alternate between course formats ensures that students will be able to attend class in the format that works for them as they move through the program.
In addition to selecting their preferred course delivery format, students can also choose their degree completion timeline. This means that students can complete the degree at their own pace and enroll in the number of courses that best suits their schedule in any given semester.
Our 30-credit program of study includes a focused curriculum that offers professionals the skills and knowledge they need to succeed as leaders and managers in their field. Students who take two courses per semester can complete the degree in just 24 months. Learn more about our curriculum.
Our forthcoming stackable non-degree badges and certificates align with Flex MBA coursework. Working professionals can start with one or two MBA courses to earn a badge, stack additional courses into a certificate, and — if later admitted to the Flex MBA — may apply eligible completed coursework toward the degree.
