Schedule and Location

The Executive MBA is an 18-month program designed to allow students to balance work and family with minimal disruption. A new cohort is welcomed each August and meets for bi-monthly class weekends on Fridays and Saturdays, with seasonal breaks during the winter and summer. The program is lockstep, which means all students start at the same time, work within their cohort, and all finish together. The intensive class weekends and virtual collaboration between sessions allow students to continue their full-time roles and still earn their MBA on an accelerated timeline.

The bi-monthly classes meet in-person on Fridays (1:00-9:00 pm) and Saturdays (8:30am – 5:30 pm) with seasonal breaks in the winter and summer. Catered meals, snacks, and coffee service, are provided each class weekend.

Classes take place at the state-of-the-art Virginia Tech Research Center in the Ballston district of Arlington, which is convenient to the Ballston Metro station (Orange and Silver lines), I-66, and Route 50. With easy transport links to Washington, D.C. and the Dulles Technology Corridor, the program enrolls students from a cross section of the region’s key industries.
